NOTE TO MY READERS: This week’s blog post is going to be late I’m sorry to say. It has been a very frustrating three weeks in dealing with computer and computer issues. Unfortunately, my old computer died on me suddenly and I had to order a new computer. When the new computer arrived and I tried to access my blog and my website I found out that Microsoft has installed a protective program called ‘S mode’. This Microsoft program makes it nearly impossible to use sites that are not in the Microsoft Store. Allegedly you can disable the program but after now 5-1/2 days of fighting it and using eleven different approaches to disable it I was not able to succeed.

As a result, I was required to transfer my website to another hosting service. It has been a difficult transfer. Even though the site indicated that the transfer would be a simple migration process it did not tell me that I had to make some major modifications to where my websites were being stored. As a result of those confusions, I’ve been fighting that issue for another three days.

To make matters even worse the new hosting service, which offered ‘easy migration’ has turned into a nightmare. After a week of fighting to get the sites loaded and then operational they still haven’t been able to complete the transfer.

Fortunately, I finally found a program that ridded my computer of “S-Mode” and I’m now working with my original hosting site WordPress to transfer my sites back to the original hosting service. They have managed to transfer the http://www.petetaylorauthor.com site back. I’m currently positing on that site.

However the petetaylorauthor.com site was poorly designated (by me). Do you know how many Peter Taylor authors there are? Evidently people with my name like to be write LOL! When you search for my website, you’ll find it at the bottom of the pile. So we renamed the site to http://www.ptaylorvietnamadvisor.com and I’m on the top of that list. Unfortunately that’s the site we’re working to migrate and attach to the old site. Hopefully by next week we’ll have all of this resolved, so please bear with me.

You can probably tell by now that I am quite frustrated but hopefully, I will have a handle on where this thing is going. So please bear with me and I hope to have everything up and running properly by next Friday. Wish me luck.
